You Don't Speak For Me, Hillary

"If Hillary loses, every woman loses."
--Susan Estrich on Hannity and Colmes, Tuesday October 11

If Susan Estrich weren't so sincere about her convictions about Hillary, this would be a hilarious joke or a bad political strategy. Instead, her claim that Hillary somehow embodies the hope of all women in America is pathetic.

I do believe that Estrich genuinely believes this. However, she is genuinely wrong. Does President Bush represent the hope of all evangelical Christians? If he had lost, would churches have started burning all over our country? If Condi hadn't been appointed Secretary of State, would the civil rights movement have been set back a half century?

The truth is that Hillary does not represent all women. She definitely does not represent me. But, that's because she has worked and fought against my core values. I do not believe that abortion is good for women. The women in the womb never get a choice. And, the women who feel like that's there only option suffer greatly throughout the process and beyond.

She, the National Organization for Women (NOW) and other women's advocates remained silent when it came to her womanizing husband. It appears politics and ambition outweighed the fight for women's rights and protection.

Hillary's character, her core values (which, appear to be "changing" in preparation for the '08 election...coincidentally) and her actions do not represent all women. She definitely does not represent this woman.

You ever notice that Susan and Dick Morris sound the same?

It's also funny that for half the show Susan criticises Dick for not being on the show that day.

I only caught a bit of what she said on Hannity yesterday, but I put her book on my wishlist. If nothing else, she represents how a rational liberal sees the issues. Understanding her would probably help us understand where most liberals are coming from.

The typical liberal usually overstates consequences. Everything is a national emergency or crisis.

Wait a minute! I thought Hillary said she wasn't running...........Riiiiight.

Interestingly enough, Dick Morris was on Prager and Medved today for his Condi v. Hillary book.

Thanks for posting this. I saw that interview, and was really "perturbed" that she made such an "over the top" statement. You put it in perspective and it helps to know that I wasn't the only one that heard it and felt like fingernails were scraping a blackboard.

Susan Estrich is another of the liberal lightweights that gets a lot of face time on Fox News. Gloria Allred (who hasn't made a lick of sense since the O.J. trial) was mentioned in the previous post and she's another one who fits that bill - not to mention Hannity's lapdog himself, AC. I'd like to see Hannity have a Joe Conason on his show, or sponsor a debate with a strong liberal lawyer like Mike Papantonio (a partner in the firm where Joe Scarborough worked, BTW.)

As for what Estrich had to say, it was a ridiculous statement for all the reasons mentioned and more.

She doesn't represent me either.
She may very well get her party's nomination, but even that is not assured.
A LOT will happen over the next couple of years as we get into the heat of the 2008 election.

Hillary is no shoo in by far. Based on my observations of the folks that are already totally against Hillary becoming president of our great country the most passionate about it are women.

In Hillary's re-election bid for the Senate next year I personally cannot wait to see her and Jeanine Pirro (R) (Rudi Guliani type republican) on the same stage. Pirro will leave Hillary in the dust in all their debates. The real Hillary (socialist, leftist) will be outed when in contrast to a strong independent and 'real' woman like Jeanine when it comes to their stance on the issues.

Pirro will zero in on Hillary Clinton's deceptions and in response the shrill Hillary Rodham will make her appearance for all to see.
